An Inconvenient Truth

So I was watching that show, "Moment of Truth" last night and I was very disturbed by the concept of it all. So these people go on this show and at some point, a lie detector test is administered and then they ask them questions pertaining to those results in front of a live studio audience which includes their immediate family. Talk about embarrassing and just plain WRONG!! So last night's episode was quite interesting; this chick admitted that she cheated on her husband, was still in love with her ex, knew something about her father that her mother didn't know, had stolen money from her job and would do it again if she knew she wouldn't get caught and made her way to about $200,000. Mind you, if she were to lie about any of her responses, she goes home with nothing.

Guess which question this dumb bitch answered falsely?? "Do you think you're a good person?" With a straight face and after everything she just admitted, she defiantly claimed that she was still a good person. Here's my issue with that; I'm not doubting that she's a good person *cough*, but with all things considered, she should have felt like shit after hurting everyone closest to her.At any rate, I think this show is a crock of shit. People airing their dirty laundry and literally digging skeletons out of their closet for money? Yes, you're $500,000 richer, but your parents regret not going through with that abortion and your husband is a now a He-Man woman hater.

The fact of the matter is, some things are better left unsaid. If it isn't a matter of life or death, there's really no reason to unearth what was once put away. And who wants to know every single thing about someone anyway? We're all human and I'm sure if one could read your mind, they'd think you were insane. The point is, if you're happy with your life and relationship, don't go trying to investigate and dig up someone's past as it will only make you insecure.

If the relationship wasn't meant to work, trust and believe me, it won't, but there's no point in creating a problem. I'm here to tell you that what's in the dark will most certainly come to light, but on it's own. Trouble is the one thing you'll find the first time you look for it. If you're happy, then be happy! Blissful ignorance isn't a crime, people...especially when too much of the truth could literally tear your world in two.Just play it safe, people. There would be no reason to explain your actions or motives if you just told the truth in the first place.
